Civict act and respect

The civic act 

In this picture we can see all of the secondary school students standing in lines and showing respect. They are following the social structure of the school. They are following orders not doing what they want. The social structure overrides feelings and makes the members of that structure follow. By not following the norms and doing what they want. They would get a negative sanction from the authorities of this social structure, the teachers. The purpose of the civic act is to get the hopes up for the students and set a fresh start for the week, but it also promotes respect toward the authorities and to comply to the school's catholic roots with the prayers at the end of it. The social structure promotes the root values of the IB along with religion, this is reflected at the start of each week with the civic act.

    this one shows the ability of respect which shows that student are in line to hear the director instruction for the two weeks. thanks for your contribution

    This is a very good example of respect to the higher order. These students show how they have less authority than the teachers that are the highest in the authority structure.

    This is a very good depiction of how social structure works in the school and how we have to follow orders and rules just like outside of the school.

    I believe this post and picture is a great example of showing not only how social structure in schools work but also comparing it with the social structure outside of schools. You have to follow rules or you'll be punished, you need to be respectful and mindful not only of yourself and others but also of the environment so be careful how you act. Great choice for the image.

    In this picture we can see how our social statuses influence on our behavior too, since everyone is a student, each one needs to act in a respectful manner and paying attention to the civic act. As Jose says in his description, it is a very good example of how the social structure is present in our daily life, in this situation, we are already given directions and we have limits of behavior that we have to follow.
