CODENI
The Nicaraguan Coordinating Federation of NGOs working with Children and Adolescents (CODENI) is a coordinating body of 39 organizations that participate in the Work Commissions. Incorporated in 1992. With Legal Entity in 2000.
It promotes and develops spaces of participation with the State to influence the elaboration of public policies, proposed initiatives of laws and promotes actions of social defense, advocacy, social communication, and social mobilization.
Mission
From its self-determination CODENI assumes the responsibility of contributing to the political, economic, social and cultural transformations so that children and adolescents fully exercise their human rights, promoting processes of coordination, articulation and advocacy in legal frameworks, public policies and actions of social defense at the national and municipal levels, taking as reference the Constitution of the Republic of Nicaragua, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Code of Childhood and Adolescence.
