Socialization, the process by which people learn the characteristics of their own group, describes the ways that people come to understand social norms and expectations, to accept society’s beliefs, and to be aware of social values.
Socialization can be held anytime and anywhere. Every individuals in society experience socialization everyday while they are interacting with others. As an actual member society, I also socialize with others every single day. For me, most of my socialization activities are held in school. In the school, I meet different people from different cultures, and we share our different perspectives through socialization.
During the lunchtime in the school, I usually play soccer with others from different grades. While we are playing, each of us tries to cooperate well to make good teamwork and shares different strategies to win the match. Through this activity, I can socialize with others and build stronger bonds with them.
Also, another socialization activity that is the most frequent for me is the group assignment. During the class, teachers sometimes give us an assignment that should be worked as a group. Each member of the group works collaboratively and share their different opinions and perspectives.
