As we know the word ‘’anime’’ makes reference to all those japanese films, but what does make anime a lower or inferior subject to some people? Well, to explain this we are going to base on real life observations and use some sociological terms. Often, we have heard someone say that ‘’Anime’s tv shows’’ are dumb, ridiculous, childish and etc, and the tv shows they watch are the rights one or the best one ever, even though ‘’this’’ tv show has nothing of moral and conscience but unnecessary adolescents rebellions, that is the case of ‘’The end of the F/*$ world’’. Right, you see it now, no? Ok, let’s see; into a society is normal to find people that have different beliefs from yours, different religions and likes, but actually no one in this society is wrong, this is what we call sociological perspective. In addition, We can find something called ‘’ethnocentrism’’, that is what make certain cultures think what they do and believe on is how others groups ought to be.
In this picture we can see those guys presenting about this anime tv show, Dragon Ball Z, even though it is a kind of cartoon, they explain how it get related to our current life, and how important is honor, respect and friendship.
At this point we have two sort of subcultures, the one whom like to watch cartoons tv shows and those whom do not watch anime. All of them have the right point of view.
In this anti-bullying week, we can see how these student present about different topics, showing each other different ways to see the world, all of these, is carried out in a respectful way.
Often we find people with the thought or idea that anime is for certain types of people or that in anime only ¨specific¨ sort of content is brought to people who watch anime when in reality, theres more than (so many i could mention) types of genres, in this image indeed these students with the example of the anime ¨Dragon Ball: The Sayain Saga¨ were able to identify various similarities in real life and differences, similarities such as the invasions countries have encountered or acts of terror/ attacks from other people from other places. At the end to finish my comment i agree with your post and your analysis, and about how all of them have the right point of view from the two subcultures, at the end both share the same point in some way, despite disliking a show or type of show that in a way gives out a message of something real or that it is driven froma real life example or inspiration so to speak.
