Humans have existed for around 6 million years ago, and during that time we were still underdeveloped, leading to a chance of unnecessary deaths. To deal with this, our ancestors developed one key strategy and that is working as a civilization. By working as a civilization, they were to hunt animals faster, pick fruits faster, and thanks to it they were able to ensure their survivial.

Even after 6 million years, this concept is still present in our world, but its purpose has changed throughout time. Instead of using it to survive physically, we use it survive socially. To work as a group in present-day society, there is one important value that needs to be respected. This value is called respect. According to Oxford Dictionaries, respect is a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements. Respect needs to be present in every group no matter their age, work, class, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. Even though it is the basis for working as a group, a lot of times it is not shown and it ends up substantially affecting a person physically, emotionally, or mentally. This is one of the reasons that the necessity of respect should be spread throughout every institution, and more in schools. Students are still in the stage of development, and being disrespected and bullied can lead them to take rash decisions. To prevent this from happening, they should be informed about the importance of respect and how it can affect others immensely.
